On 11 May 2011, AD Projects will open RELIQUARY, an exhibition of works by WONDERPUSS OCTOPUS, at 200 Ave A, New York, NY.

With these new works, WONDERPUSS OCTOPUS / PJ Linden has developed a 3D paint 'crystallization' process that engulfs all modern consumer goods in it's path - covering everything from toy guns to adult accessories, turning the mass produced into supernatural relics.

Like technicolor algae, the viral textures seem to be alive with microorganisms. WONDERPUSS OCTOPUS paints a future in which bio-plastics have evolved into zooids, transmuting the man-made, ultra-smooth object into a barbed, primal experience. The show challenges that which is sacred to by transforming base materials and luxury items into artifacts that exude a sense of reverence for the larger systems and energies that govern life.'
